Canada’s Stand Up Paddle Clinics, Events, and Instructors

River Stand-up Paddleboarding is becoming more popular in Canada. The hardy Canadian paddlers are suiting up and braving the cold lakes and rivers, we’ve never been afraid of a little cold. Many are transitioning from from flat to flow, paddling rivers which provide a more dynamic environment ranging from gentle and straight forward to raging and complex.

Across Canada, there are thousands of waterways with different classes that beginner to advanced paddlers can go paddling on.  To stay safe, all potential river paddlers should take a course with a certified Paddle Canada River Instructor OR (ACA if you’re in the USA)  so that they can safely identify which rivers to admire from afar and which ones are natural playgrounds where they can progress and practice their skills.

A certified instructor can get you flowing in the right direction when it comes to starting your entry into the River world. Courses all over Canada with certified Paddle Canada River Instructors can be found through websites such as:
